Large exhibition project Years of  Neorealism - guidelines of the Italian photography 1945 - 1965, after Zagreb  will be presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina in Novi Sad this year, and the Museum of Contemporary Art RS in Banja Luka and Cultural Center in Belgrade in 2010.
The exhibition presents 205 photographs of the 30 authors, and is accompanied by a extraordinary catalogue  with the addition of introductions of Italian experts, as well as Mr. Virgilio Giuricin, director of the Center for Visual Arts in Rovinj and curator of Photo Gallery Lang in Samobor, Mr. Želimir Koščević.

What is the Italian neorealism?

Although the concept of Italian neorealizma is usually associated with art film (L. Visconti, V.de Sica, A. Lattuada, R. Rossellini), in the photography Neo  indicates a movement of new generation of Italian photographers with a strong social and critical engagement , expressing the new Italian reality after 1945. year.


The exhibition first has been presented at the Center for Visual Art Batana in Rovinj.The exhibition was realized with the help of the City Department of Education, Culture and Sport, the City of Zagreb and the Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb.
