Austrian Artists exhibiting at the \u201eVienna Calling\u201c Exhibition:<\/b> Alfredo Barsuglia, Johanna Binder, Christian Eisenberger, Dorothee Golz, Aurelia Gratzer, Marlene Hausegger, Karen Holl\u00e4nder, Jakob Lena Knebl, Eric Kressnig, Hans Scheirl, Martin Schnur, Norbert Trummer<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

This year Austria is invited to the 2nd Biennale of Painting<\/span><\/a> with the exhibition named \u201eVienna Calling\u201c. The title of this exhibition does not remind us just on a same named song of the Vienna’s eccentric pop musician\u00a0 Falc, but it is also known from the English translation of the Ivo Goldstein’s book: \u201eCroatian History\u201c, which at one point deals with the relation between Zagreb and Vienna around 1848: \u201eCroatian politicians sent a committee to Vienna calling<\/i> on the Emperor to convoke the Croatian Sabor<\/i>, and demanding preservation of the territorial integrity of Croatia and its closer links with Austrian crown lands.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201eVienna Calling\u201c Exhibition represents current tendencies of the painting: it is about big spacial moments, change of the perspective and about context. And sometimes it is just about the color.<\/p>\n
