Croatian Association of Fine Artists\u00a0cordially\u00a0invites You to the\u00a0Summer Exhibition Thursday<\/strong>\u00a0o<\/strong>n Thursday, August 3 <\/strong>at 8pm<\/strong>\u00a0with 3 exhibition openings.<\/p>\n

Exhibition openings will be accompanied by concert <\/strong>performance at 9pm<\/strong> with Reinhard S\u00fcss (composer and E-Piano), Tanja S\u00fcss (cello) and Theresa Hajni (clarinet) and reading<\/strong> from Wolfgang Bleier (with Sead Muhamedagi\u0107’s translation) at Club HDLU<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Annual Member’s Exhibition is a revue exhibition which, in line with its long tradition, gives the public an insight into current production, achieved in all disciplines: from classical to new media.<\/p>\n

The site-specific installation Spaces between Land, Water and Sky (2017) has been created by Silvia Maria Grossmann, guided and inspired by the Ba\u010dva Gallery. The gallery\u2019s circular space (a rotunda designed by Ivan Me\u0161trovi\u0107) influenced how the installation was set up, and also provided a perfect response to the artist\u2019s poetry. In her installation, Grossmann examines the symbolism of fabled rivers, but also to the relationship between the wind, sea and light.<\/p>\n

This project is the result of several years of international cooperation between Croatian Association of the Fine Artists (HDLU) and the Westdeutscher Kunstlerbund (WKB), the last of which was exhibition \u00a0\u201c(re) thinking Space & Place\u201d<\/a>, a presentation of Croatian artists ona a group exhibition in Flottmann-Hallen in 2015, in Herne, Germany. Before that, in 2014, WKB members presented themselves at the PM Gallery in the Home of Croatian Fine Artists. Collaboration continues with the project \u201cExpanding photography\u201d, which discusses photography as an expanded medium.<\/p>\n
