Exhibition\u00a0Inversion\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0Vitold Ko\u0161ir\u00a0<\/strong>will be opened on Wednesday, September 4 at 8 pm<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>at the\u00a0Ba\u010dva Gallery (Home of HDLU)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

” Vitold Ko\u0161ir (1966), an established Zagreb sculptor, graphic artist, classical and rock musician, hunter, falconer… \u2013 is a noble savage<\/em> who strives for a primordial expression in sculpture which he then transforms into a (post)modernist art beton brut<\/em>. In a circular motion we gradually become aware of the artist\u2019s spatial palpable and visual, devilish tenet<\/em> based on the contrast of the circle and the rectangular square. It is, transformed into a primary, raw aesthetics<\/em> at once rough and poetic, rudimentarily shaped. (…)<\/p>\n

(…) Vitold is equally in love with the concrete veins of the city and fascinated by nature. By the principle of polarity, like light that penetrates the magnifying glass with its light trace<\/em>, illuminating and distorting the specificities of the artist\u2019s shadow<\/em>, it brings us closer to a complex, polyvalent structure of personality that is not easy to classify unilaterally, same as his fundamental sculptural substrate. Ko\u0161ir creates a continuous installation sculpture, transformed into a reverse building<\/em> by the principle of positive and negative, firmly connected \u2013 by heavy symbolic and physical, real 3D form and 2D plastic quality. ”<\/p>\n
