On October 11, 2024, there will be an open studio day\/exhibition of the first residency De\/Construction of Painting<\/em>, as part of the European project Creart 3.0<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Artists: Ante Dujmovi\u0107 (HR) and Daria Titova (UA).<\/strong><\/p>\n DE\/CONSTRUCTION OF PAINTING<\/em>\u00a0CONCEPT:<\/strong><\/p>\n The project\u00a0De\/construction of Painting<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0encourages and addresses contemporary artistic practices within the context of the visual arts center of Eastern Germany,\u00a0Leipzig<\/strong>, which has transformed into a global hub for the arts with a focus on the painting scene. The former industrial complex Spinnerei in the Plagwitz district spans 10 hectares and has been almost entirely renovated, now serving as the heart of the local and international art scene with 12 galleries, the non-profit art center Halle 14, and around a hundred resident artists. The residency program\u00a0De\/construction of Painting<\/em>\u00a0tries to answer the following questions:<\/p>\n Part of this year\u2019s residency program takes place within the EU project CreART 3.0<\/strong>, a European network of medium-sized cities aimed at exchanging experiences and best practices to promote contemporary art through a continuous transnational mobility program for emerging artists, curators, and cultural workers, in order to maximize the economic, social, and cultural contributions that creativity can bring to local communities. As part of the EU project CreART 3.0, 4 residencies will take place in Leipzig in 2024, each lasting 5 weeks, including 2 Croatian and 2 foreign artists from the network of cities.<\/p>\n Project web page:\u00a0https:\/\/residencyleipzig.hdlu.hr\/<\/a><\/p>\n BROCHURE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Ante Dujmovi\u0107<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0was born in Zagreb\u00a0year\u00a01999.\u00a0He\u00a0was educated\u00a0in\u00a0Applied Arts\u00a0High\u00a0School\u00a0in Department\u00a0for\u00a0Metal\u00a0Design. He\u00a0graduated at the Academy of\u00a0Fine\u00a0Arts in Zagreb with\u00a0BA\u00a0degree in New Media\u00a0year 2022.\u00a0He is\u00a0a multidisciplinary artist with interest in all forms of art and materials.\u00a0Since year 2023 he is member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists.\u00a0He participated in many\u00a0exhibitions and projects in Croatia and abroad.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Daria Titova<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a young twenty-year-old artist from Kharkiv, Ukraine. She completed her undergraduate studies in Graphic Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts. She is the author of several projects, including the design of the 2-euro coin \u201cGlory to Ukraine\u201d (2022); she was the winner of the competition for a wallpaper design for a kindergarten that Estonia built in Ukraine (2023); her work was selected for presentation in the Tallinn Adidas store (2024); and she created 12 murals for the new hospital (Health Center 2) and is currently working on an animated educational platform for the same center (2024).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Within the project:<\/p>\n Partners:<\/p>\n Co-funded by:<\/p>\n Co-funded by the European Union \u2013 CREA-CULT-2023-COOP.
