With the\u00a0exhibition CreArtivci<\/strong>, held at the MSU \u0161kolica from November 14 to November 17, 2024, the second in a series of educational programs within the European project Creart 3.0.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0was successfully completed.<\/p>\n

The work of the students from the Sredi\u0161\u0107e Elementary school, created under the mentorship of the artist Ana Ratkovi\u0107 Sobota<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CreArt Educational Program<\/strong>\u00a0is part of the European project\u00a0CreArt 3.0<\/strong>\u00a0and aims to improve collaboration between local schools, cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations, and independent professionals and companies in the cultural and creative sectors. The program builds and strengthens intergenerational connections, creates a network for cultural education exchange, and encourages future participation of school children in the cultural life of the city.\u00a0Over the course of 3 years, the program will involve 76 schools in the partner cities of the project, more than 4,500 students and teachers, and 47 artists.<\/strong><\/p>\n

HDLU has connected its second educational program of the year with the exhibition \u201cPicelj and Friends,\u201d which marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Croatian artist, Ivan Picelj. The exhibition is organized by HDLU and MSU and will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art from September 19, 2024 to February 2, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The work of the students from the Private Art Gymnasium with Public Accreditation, created under the mentorship of the artist Martina Miholi\u0107<\/strong><\/p>\n

In its second edition, six schools participated (Ivo Andri\u0107 Elementary School, Kusto\u0161ija Elementary School, Sredi\u0161\u0107e Elementary School, I. Gymnasium, School of Applied Arts and Design, and Private Art Gymnasium<\/strong>)\u00a0with over 120 students and six teachers<\/strong>. The program consisted of exhibition tours with an educational booklet of tasks and workshops conducted in schools under the mentorship of artists\u00a0Duje Medi\u0107, Martina Miholi\u0107, Ana Ratkovi\u0107 Sobota, Damir Sobota, Melinda \u0160ef\u010di\u0107, and Diana Trohar.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lorena \u0160imi\u0107<\/strong>\u00a0developed the\u00a0educational booklet<\/a>\u00a0under the supervision of the Educational Department of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, designed by Duje Medi\u0107.<\/p>\n

The final result, and the culmination<\/strong>\u00a0of this year\u2019s educational program, was the exhibition of student works created during the workshops.<\/p>\n

CreArt<\/strong>\u00a0is a network of 13 medium-sized European cities with the aim of exchanging experiences and good practices for the promotion of contemporary art, through a permanent transnational mobility program for emerging artists, curators and cultural workers, in order to maximize the economic, social and cultural contribution that creativity can make to local communities (#stringing_together). At the same time, CreArt 3.0 is pushing the boundaries (#pushboundaries) beyond the visual arts, empowering other artistic practices such as performing arts or music, and new collaborations with an NGO based in Lviv have also been initiated to support Ukrainian artists. Participating cities are: Kaunas, Liepaja, Skopje, Aveiro, Valladolid, Lublin, Venice, Clermont-Ferrand, Rouen, \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice, Oulu and Regensburg. The project includes 45 residency programs in 15 European cities, more than 39 public events to celebrate the European Month of Creativity in 13 cities from the network, 13 educational programs to strengthen creativity and knowledge about contemporary art, 18 Street Art festivals, 10 annual festivals in galleries in 9 cities and 6 European conferences and study visits.<\/p>\n
